Hi David, I had the pleasure of chatting with you (and Roberto Vally) outside the BB King Jazz Club in November before the Michael Lington Show and then again at Spaghettini when you played with Eric and Chuck, where I mentioned to you I was Danish like Michael. I want you to know how much I have come to appreciate the keyboard because of you. Your passion for the music is obvious and I thank you for sharing your talent with me / us / the audience with such excitement. Loved every minute of it and look forward to see and hear you again soon. I now own your CD "Giving Back" which I love to listen to in my car. Great music. I wish you a wonderful Christmas and a new year filled with love and music. Hanne "The Great Dane"

David,
Thanks so much for allowing me to experience Creatchy up close and personal. I'm still buzzing from the music that was unleashed Tuesday night. Being there would have been wonderful enough for me but allowing me to be a musical part of it was unforgettable. You ARE a gift to music and to humanity. I didn't know what to expect but when I met you, I was pleasingly surprised at how down to earth you were in-spite of the fact that you are one of the MOST TALENTED MUSICIAN ON THE PLANET!!!! I was so honored to share in the music. I wish you continued success and hope that you are able to pass on your passion for life and music to future generations. Thanks again and God bless you and your family
(including the ones in Michigan ).
Your friend and fan for life,
Moses
P.S. I hope to see you again soon.

dear david,
i want to thank you again for that great show at the la ve lee in march this year. every time i visit my dear american friends in la, i have to go to to see shows at the la ve lee and the baked potato, both my worlds favourite places to enjoy music. i was very happy when i saw the calandar of the la ve lee that you would play there during my stay with my family in la.
i saw you several times in europe with george benson, karizma and the los lobotomys, but never had the chance to see you and "the cats". and it was even better than i wished it was in my dreams.
thank you for taking the time, talking to me and forcing me to write you that email.
thank you for that great music, for your inspiration and groove.
Hope to see you soon somewhere

Hi David,
at the moment I,m hearing a Karizma record (all the way live). Very nice. I'm a 25 years old drummer from Germany playing a lot of funk blues latin and so I like your style and your arrangements (e.g. Layla) very much. I've many recordings (cd + dvd) of you. It's all great stuff. I saw you 2 times live. in 2001 in Stuttgart with Karizma and in 2002 in Munich with Natalie Cole. Both were great shows. It would be very great to see you again or to hear from you. Visit my website. You will like it:-) So keep on groovin'

Hi David,
My name is Tony Virgulto. I am a drummer from CT. I have been a long time fan of yours and the whole LA music scene. I grew up listening to Jeff Porcaro, Carlos, JR Robinson and many other drummers. As I got older, I also grew to appreciate the song writing and talents of your peers such as Luke, Michael Landau and the many other great people that you play with. I was so devastated when I heard of the passing of Jeff, and if that wasn't enough, I heard of Carlos' passing. I am so pleased to see that you are keeping both of those great drummers' spirits alive. The archive picture section is great to see.
Keep up the great tributes and the great music.

Hello, I used to come see Karizma in the early 80's at The Baked Potato. I know Larry Klimas, grew up in the same neighborhood. I grew up with the Livigni's (Johnny, Donny) and the Siciliano's (Anthony) Larrys cousin. I had no idea the band (Karizma) was still around. I would watch in awe of the most talented musicians around. I am a drummer with a jump blues / swing band. I would love to come see you when you are in town (L.A. and or Maui) which is were I reside. Does Larry still live in L.A.? If so, I would like to get in touch with him. Thanks for the years of great music.
A big fan

David,
I have been on a bit of a buying spree lately with AIX records (like buying their entire catalogue which I am extremely close to achieving). The 3 discs you are on are just fantastic. You add greatly to them as you are a fantastic keyboard player. I will definatly be looking into your other CD's. Unfortunately they are not hi-rez surround but I guess you can't have everything....

David,
I just want to say that I THROUGHLY Enjoyed your performance at La Ve Lee on Friday night. I have been a fan of yours since I discovered "Tribute To Jeff" years ago and I saw Alex about a year ago at La Ve Lee when he performed with Steve Ferrone and picked up "Giving Back" I also own "Document"
Your talent is exceptional! Your arrangements stellar. The arrangements of "Georgy Porgy" and especially "Layla" floored me..
I left too quickly to notice that "Layla" is on one of the CD's that you had for sale. But don't worry ....I just ordered it.
Please place me on your mailing list for future releases from your label and your performances since I am in the L.A. area often.
Thanks

Hi Dave! I was blessed last year 2003! Last year, you came to my country to perform with the great George Benson. The whole concert kept me mesmerized as I saw you lead George's band through many of the songs that are legendary to George's music. Thank you so much for coming to NZ and might I say, as good as it was to see George Benson perform in the flesh, so it was such a pleasure to see you perform 'live' and in person. Keep up the good work, and I look forward to many more of your future works with some of earth's greatest musicians.

Hi David (again). One thing that I wanted to say was that we down here in New Zealand aren't as fortunate as other countries when it comes to having incredible musicians playing in our towns. George Benson was here in Wellington two days ago, and I was really hoping that you were with him. I wouldn't have seen the concert anyway because I was gigging that night. But I did sneak into his sound check and listen to them rehearse and stuff. That was totally cool, but I was really hoping that you were there. Is there any chance that you'll be heading down this way in the near future? I find your music and your playing truly inspiring. I listen to the 'Tribute to Jeff' and 'Document' albums all the time. Can't seem to get enough of them. I have a lot of musician friends down here that are huge Karizma, Los Lobotomys, and Toto fans. We're all big fans of the LA music scene-Yourself, Steve Lukather, Michael Landau, David Paich, Larry Carlton, Jeff Porcaro, John Robinson, Abraham Laboriel...basically everybody that you've had on your albums. I host 'Jam Night' at a bar here in Wellington called Blue Note. It happens every Tuesday. Some of the best local musicians and singers come along and jam out. The night is filled with a mixture of jazz, rb, funk, reggae, blues, and soul. Anyway, if you are EVER down this way, it would be such a great honour to have you play at the jam night. I know it's a long shot and I am totally aware that you are a busy busy man. But that would just be really awesome! New Zealand's a great place for a holiday. It's a popular tourist spot. If you ever come to Wellington, look me up and I'll show you the sights. 'The Lord of the Rings' was made right here in Wellington :-) Anyway, I'm rambling...sorry! Hope to see you down here. Take care. Love your work. PEACE! Andy

Hi David, my name's Andy Mauafua and I live on the other side of the world in Wellington, New Zealand. I'm a musician and a huge fan of yours. I saw you a couple of years ago in Auckland with George Benson. That concert has definitely gone down as one of the best that I ve seen-ever! The solos that you did on 'This Masquerade' and 'Affirmation' totally blew my mind. I had some friends with me at the time, and they were blown away as well. Are you coming to New Zealand again? I sure hope so. Maybe with Karizma? Now that would be awesome! Love your work, Andy.
